Frank Carver - Bursary Award 2025
The Frank Carver Bursary Award for a Pyrotechnics Investigator is financed from the Bursary Fund established through the International Pyrotechnics Society. The Frank Carver Bursary Fund is a UK Charity, which promotes advancement in the scientific understanding of energetic materials by assisting young pyrotechnicians to attend and present their work at international seminars which are sponsored/sanctioned by the International Pyrotechnics Society. The award will be £1200 Sterling equivalent. The amount is usually sufficient to cover travel expenses or seminar fees. To be eligible for the award, the recipient must be less than 40 years of age, from outside of Germany and must present the paper as an oral presentation at the seminar. Persons who wish to be considered for the award should notify their intention to Dr. Ken Smit, President of IPS, (ken.smit@defence.gov.au) and submit their written paper until April 1th 2025 to Dr. Ken Smit (ken.smit@defence.gov.au) and Dr. Magdalena Rusan (Seminar Chair, march@cup.uni-muenchen.de).
