Conference Location

The conference will take place at the Department of Chemistry of the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany, and is organized in cooperation with the LMU Congress Center.


The Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) is named after its founder, Duke Ludwig IX. and the Bavarian King Maximilian I Joseph. The LMU was founded in 1472 in Ingolstadt, moved to Landshut in 1800 and finally to Munich in 1826. The historic main building with its two distinctive fountains is the landmark of the LMU Munich. The university now comprises of numerous state-of-the-art teaching and research buildings, libraries, outstanding clinics, as well as the Wendelstein observatory in the Bavarian Alps.


Munich, the Bavarian capital, is not only known for its annual Oktoberfest and world-famous beer gardens, but is also characterized by centuries-old buildings and numerous museums of outstanding quality. Cathedrals from the Baroque and Renaissance, as well as opulent royal palaces from the 12th to 18th centuries can be visited.
